The Philippines

The Philippines is an island country in Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean. It is an archipelago consisting of more than 7,000 islands. Part of the coral triangle,  the Indonesian-Philippines Region, and the Far Southwestern Pacific Region is one of eight major coral reef zones worldwide. It is recognized as a global center of marine biodiversity and a global priority for conservation. Its biological resources make it a global hotspot of marine biodiversity. Known as the "Amazon of the seas", 

The Philippines is a mecca for marine biodiversity, from large species like whale sharks and thresher sharks to the most abundant macro-organisms like nudibranchs and invertebrates.
